Note that it requires a split set, not merged or non-merged sets and they must be zip files. It requires familiarity with the Terminal and the command line tool advancescan (part of AdvanceMAME). There are many tools available on Windows to manage these changes. It’s very strict with CRC checks to make sure every byte is valid before the ROM is allowed to run. MAME updates often come with new sets of ROM’s and the slightest change will prevent it from running.
